In februari 2009, is met de reconstructie van zowel de ziekenzaal alsmede de sanitaire voorzieningen gestart.
De bouw is enorm voorspoedig verlopen en op 10 maart kwam het bericht uit Sri Lanka dat het project gereed was.
Zelfs voor Srilankaanse begrippen is dit zeer voorspoedig gegaan.
Onderstaand het bericht van de zuster waarin het project gereed wordt gemeld:

Dear Gabriël,
First of all I want to thank you for the money that you sent for the children’s sickroom.
I’m sorry for the delay to write, I was little busy, so please excuse me. We have already
finished doing the sickroom. It’s very nice in appearance. We have only to fix a fan.
Other than that everything is complete. I will sent all the photographs after Sr. Dinalika
comes home. She was away for the convent for one week. She will come back on the 16th.
These two months two of us have a lot of seminars & meetings. So how are you,
suppose you are in good health. I remember you in my prayers.

Inmiddels is ook de fan geplaatst en zijn extra beveiligingsmaatregelen getroffen bij een
open deur op de eerste etage, die naar buiten leidt en nergens op uit kwam, dus levensgevaarlijk was!
